From 1 December, there will be a six month trial of a $8.47 ($7.70 + GST) bonus payment to taxi drivers for every M50 WATS hiring completed under the TTSS.

M50 hirings carried out in non-WAT vehicles are not eligible.

During the trial, the $10.00 payments that have previously been made on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday, will be suspended.

The trial will be funded from the Taxi Advisory Committee fund.
