As from 1 March 2008 all Sydney Metropolitan Transport District and Newcastle, Wollongong and Central Coast must be fitted with an operational and compliant security camera. Any taxi found not fitted with an operational and compliant camera and where evidence of the taxi being booked in and a deposit paid for installation before the end of March 2008 cannot be produced, will be given a not to use NCN.
