The Electronic short fare system is now fully fitted and will commence the trial phase (testing and evaluation) within the next 1 hour. 

The electronic and manual systems will both be operated in unison until the Wilson staff are fully conversant with the system and Taxi drivers have had the opportunity to experience the changes. 

This phase should be complete by the end of June whereupon the manual system will be relaxed. 

More than a thousand 1,000 flyers have been issued to taxi drivers and placed in prominent locations including taxi company lunch areas around Sydney and the Airport (GM Café and Unigas), and articles have appeared in the latest editions of METER and Taxi Journal.
