A reminder to all operators that raised taxi registration numbers must be placed on all passenger doors by the New Year.

In accordance to reforms to the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport, all taxis in Australia must be fitted with tactile numbers by 1 January, 2008. If a taxi is found to be breach of the new laws it is the operator who will be liable.
