TAXICARE OPERATOR TRAINING

 

The aim of the Operator Program is to assist in developing the skills to apply for accreditation as an operator of up to three Taxis. The course ensures that participants are aware of and understand the principles of small business before launching into operating a Taxi.The course consists of 2 days of training then a break of one week for home study projects followed by a final day of training.

The training covers the following topics:
•  The role of a Taxi Operator
•  Laws, regulations and standards
•  Interacting with a Taxi Network
•  The Taxi vehicle - equipment and standard
•  Organising insurance
•  Maintaining records for audits
•  Successful business budgeting
•  Managing drivers effectively
•  Planning regular vehicle maintenance
•  Promoting driver safety practices
•  Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace
•  Delivering quality customer service
•  Developing strategies to improve business
