South Parade, Auburn
The taxi zone has been temporarily relocated to the opposite side (southern side) of the road to accommodate for construction of a new signal crossing. The temporary rank, which accommodates 5-6 taxis, will be in place until the end of the installation period.
Once the signal crossing is installed, the taxi rank will be relocated to the northern side of South Parade, between the current ‘No Parking’ and proposed ‘Bus zone, drop-off only’ area. The old taxi zone on the northern side of South Parade will be converted into a permanent bus zone.
The NSW Taxi Council requested that advisory signage be installed at the old location for a week prior to the change to alert taxi drivers to the proposed changes.
