AUGUST 2011: Blacktown City Council has rejected a request by the NSW Taxi Council to install a taxi feeder zone at the rank.
Blacktown City Council has conducted a traffic survey of the taxi rank and nearby kiss and ride zone, and determined there is enough space on the taxi rank to cater for the demand for taxis.
Drivers are urged to maximise the capacity of the rank by parking efficiently and moving up in the queue as soon as other taxis leave.
