Inspection Preparation
Some taxi operators have presented their taxi-cabs to an ATIS for a scheduled inspection with ‘unacceptable’ vehicle condition.
Taxi operators are reminded to take the time to ‘prepare’ their vehicle for inspection and view the taxi-cab’s interior and exterior prior to submitting the taxi for a scheduled inspection.
Operators who present their vehicles in a clearly unacceptable condition will be brought to the attention of NSW T&I with a recommendation for further investigation.
Operators who continued to present a vehicle for inspection in an unacceptable condition have already been issued by the NSW T&I ‘Show Cause Notice’ as to why they should hold a taxi operator accreditation.
