NSW Leads the Way
JANUARY 2011: The Victorian Taxi Association, the South Australian Taxi Council and Department of Transport recently visited Sydney Airport to gain an insight into the successful strategies for the management of taxis.
The NSW Taxi Council works continually with Sydney Airport to improve services for taxi drivers and passengers.
The NSW Taxi Council and SACL made formal presentations about electronic systems such as the Taxi Etag System and Short Fare Systems as well as Ground Transport Operations and tours of all Ground Transport Zones were conducted.
The Victorian Taxi Association was particularly keen on the Short Fare System whilst the South Australian Industry Association has shown interest in the Etag System.
