NSW GOVERNMENT GRANTS
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR BUSINESS AND EMPLOYERS
Applications open April 2021. If you are a sole trader, the owner of a small business or a not-for-profit organisation in NSW, you may be eligible for a small business fees and charges rebate of $1500. This rebate helps businesses recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and encourages growth by reducing the cost of running a business. Eligible businesses or not-for-profits only need to apply for the rebate once, but can submit multiple claims until the full value of $1500 is reached. Funds can be used to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges.
The rebate will be available from April 2021 until 30 June 2022.
REGIONAL SENIORS TRAVEL CARD
The Regional Seniors Travel Card is pre-loaded with $250 for eligible seniors living in regional, rural and remote NSW to spend on travel-related expenses. It can be used to purchase pre-booked NSW TrainLink train and coach services, fuel and Taxi services.
The card is intended to reduce travel costs for eligible seniors living outside major cities who typically have longer distances to travel and fewer transport options. Eligible seniors have from 18 January to 30 November 2021 to apply for a regional seniors travel card. Seniors who have a 2020 card will need to apply to receive a card in 2021. Successful applicants should activate their cards within 45 days of receiving it. They have 14 months to use the card before it expires.
