PARTNERSHIPS (Government and Corporate)

New Taxi Camera Systems

NSW Point to Point Transport Regulations require all NSW Taxis to have installed before 1 February 2021 fully compliant new taxi camera operating systems.

The NSW Taxi Council and COTA (Country Taxi Operators Association) in conjunction with our partner Streamax Australia can arrange supply and delivery of accredited camera systems (at special pricing – 20%+ less than normal retail rates) for Networks and their members.

Also if required special finance packages are now available (from 3 to 5 years – with monthly payments)

If you need to replace an existing camera system (due to upgrade of existing system that is not currently full functioning or a new / replacement vehicle is being put on the road) and you wish to make a purchase at favourable prices (both Member and Non Member prices are available) then please contact me by telephone on 0412 751 957 (mobile) or e-mail at Greg@nswtaxi.org.au

Drug and Alcohol Testing

With the Point to Point Commission Audit team soon to resume their state-wide audit visitation program, it is important that all NSW Taxi Networks have in place (and already completed some tests) a formal accredited process for the regular testing of drivers and staff for drugs and alcohol.

The NSW Taxi Council and COTA (Country Taxi Operators Association) in conjunction with our partner Laverty Pathology (an accredited Laboratory / Agency) have a formal agreement in place for Drug and Alcohol testing (at special rates – 30% less than standard charges) for any NSW Taxi Network members – Drug and Alcohol testing is a mandatory requirement to be put in place under a NSW Taxi Network’s Safety Management System (SMS).

If you are a NSW Taxi Network and you wish to discuss / join this partnership (Members Only) then please contact me by telephone on 0412 751 957 (mobile) or e-mail at Greg@nswtaxi.org.au

Education and Training

A state-wide Governance Program and Workshop for Taxi Network Directors / Executives is to be launched in late 2020 – a similar pilot Workshop was conducted for NSW Metropolitan Networks in 2019

The NSW Taxi Council and CTOA (Country Taxi Operators Association) in conjunction with our partner Co-ops NSW will deliver a specialised Taxi Governance / Directors Workshops ONLINE (via Zoom with 5 sessions of 1 hour) - this will enable any NSW Regional Taxi Network (Directors / Executives) to be involved.

Stay tuned for more information in the comings months in relation to this special initiative / important project.
