Australia's 1st Purple Flag Accreditation Awarded in Sydney

We Are On a Mission For a Better Night Out in Sydney

Purple Flag is an international accreditation program for excellence in managing the night-time economy. The Purple Flag accreditation promotes a safe, controlled and inclusive precinct for those who wish to go out and enjoy Sydney’s nightlife.

The Purple Flag journey has been one of a collaborative and coordinated effort, with considered planning and a willingness to innovate with the view to build a vibrant and strong 24-hour economy.

Taxis NSW Deputy CEO, Nick Abrahim has been involved as part of the Purple Flag working group for YCK Laneways (York, Clarence and Kent Streets).

Nick says, “It has been great pleasure to be a part of the YCK Purple Flag working group, looking to ensure that Taxis continue to play the vital role of transporting patrons to and from venues.”

This has been a great example of excellent collaboration and integration across a number of Government and Industry organisations to deliver Australia’s first purple flag Precinct”.

Purple Flag precincts will provide Drivers with an opportunity to access more work, more often as we look forward to seeing more patrons coming back to Sydney’s wonderful nightlife precinct.

Well done to the team at the 24 Hour Economy Commissioner for leading a wonderful initiative.
