A Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party MP is vowing to fight the government over ‘diabolical’ Taxi reforms.
Proposed reforms would see Taxi licenses scrapped, with the government considering compensation of about $50,000 despite plates being bought for nearly $400,000.
Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party MP Mark Banasiak told Ray Hadley the government needs to reconsider.
“This government is doubling down, not only sticking a knife in, they’re twisting it.
“If they try to do it sneakily through regulation I’ll move to disallow it. If they try to do it through legislation, I’ll move to block it.”
