The NSW Taxi Council would like to inform its members and stakeholders of the NSW Taxi Industry that the Parliament of NSW - Legislative Council's (Upper House) Portfolio Committee No. 6 - Transport and Customer Service has recently issued Terms of Reference, Media Release and an Invitation to make a Submission for the Upper House Parliamentary inquiry into the Operation of the Point to Point Transport (Taxis and Hire Vehicles) Act 2016.
Please note, this Upper House Parliamentary Inquiry is separate to the Point to Point Transport Independent Review 2020 announced by the NSW Government earlier in March 2020.

The Parliamentary Committee would like to invite stakeholders (individuals and organisations) of the NSW Taxi Industry to make a submission to the inquiry. The closing date for the submission is Sunday 31 May 2020.
You can make a submission via a detailed Written Submission or an Online Questionnaire. Please check the relevant section below for further information on how to make a submission for the inquiry.
For Organisations lodging a detailed Written Submission
Organisations who wish to submit detailed information for the inquiry are encouraged to make a written submission. A detailed written submission could be lodged by:
uploading it to the committee's website
emailing it to PortfolioCommittee6@parliament.nsw.gov.au
writing to The Director, Portfolio Committee No. 6, Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

Please note, when you lodge your submission please let them know if you are requesting that:
your submission be published in full on the website including your name
your submission be published in full on the website but with your name removed
only particular sections of your submission be published and other sections be kept confidential
all of your submission including your name be kept confidential.
Please note that it is the committee's decision on how to deal with your request. Personal contact details and signatures will automatically be removed from all submissions.
For Individuals lodging their comments via an Online Questionnaire
Individuals can also submit their comments by completing an online questionnaire from the Parliament of NSW. Responses to the questionnaire may be used in the committee's final report. Names and contact details of respondents will not be published.
