‘We believe in Fair Compensation' - NSW Premier at Budget Estimates

The NSW Premier - Dominic Perottet provided an update on fair and proper compensation for all Taxi Licence Owners in NSW during the Budget Estimates Hearing in the NSW Parliament.

The Premier was questioned by Robert Borsak (Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party) - Member of the Legislative Council during the Budget Estimates Hearing about fair and proper compensation for all Taxi Licence Owners in NSW

Please see below the key comments made by the NSW Premier during the Budget Estimates Hearing:

• “We believe in fair compensation. I have met with the industry. I have met with the Treasurer and Transport Minister and discussed further compensation. I believe that we will have an outcome very shortly, which I believe the industry will be satisfied with and support”.

• “I have met with the Council previously and the Treasurer and Transport Minister are working through a compensation package”.

• “The government supports providing compensation for the plate owners. We appreciate those investments were made. The Treasurer and the Transport Minister are finalising the outcome and working very closely to bring it to the Expenditure Review Committee”.
