Applications for the NSW Government's Wheelchair Accessible Taxi (WAT) Fuel Relief Grant of $1,425 are now open and will close on 31 October 2026. The grant provides eligible WAT owners with a one-off payment of $1,425 per approved vehicle to help manage rising fuel costs. The grant recognises the higher costs associated with operating Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and supports the continued availability of WAT Services across NSW. To be considered for a grant payment, applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and submit a completed application before the closing date. Eligible WAT Owners are encouraged to review the Grant Guidelines and FAQ sheet, which can be found HERE.
