The NSW Labor leader is slamming the state government’s “heartless” treatment of the taxi industry.

Proposed reforms would see taxi licenses scrapped, with the government considering compensation of about $50,000 despite plates being bought for nearly $400,000.

NSW Opposition Leader Chris Minns told Ray Hadley taxi plate owners are in “dire straits”.

“It’s been a disgrace in NSW.

“These people have been left high and dry.”
