The NSW Taxi Council and Aviso EIA announce Strategic Partnership to launch “Taxi Insure”
The NSW Taxi Council is pleased to announce they have entered into a strategic partnership with Aviso EIA to launch “Taxi Insure”.
Utilising the NSW Taxi Council’s role as the recognised peak organisation for the NSW Taxi industry (and major contributor to the NSW public transport system) and Aviso EIA’s respected reputation (with more than 400 years of combined insurance experience) in providing comprehensive and competitive insurance products and solutions using only Australian-regulated insurers, the partnership is a strong combination which can provide a complete one-stop-shop for all insurance requirements in every major city throughout NSW.

The NSW Taxi Industry has more than 200 authorised Taxi networks, over 5,000 Taxi operators and more than 30,000 authorised drivers. The opportunity to partner with Aviso EIA’s respected reputation (with more than 400 years of combined insurance experience) and ability to deliver important insurance products to all Taxi drivers throughout NSW, represents a positive opportunity to ensure that NSW Taxi Industry continues to meet the current and future needs of the transport market.
Aviso EIA Insurance Brokers is part of the Aviso Group and a member of Steadfast Group. They operate strictly under the guidance of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) and the regulations of the Financial Services Reform Bill (passed in 2001). They take pride in always delivering exceptional service and developing long-term relationships with all customers.
“Joining with Aviso EIA as a key partner in the NSW Taxi Industry Ecosystem will deliver an ongoing essential range of quality insurance products and services for our NSW Taxi operators and allow our members to consistently achieve the best possible solutions and pricing for one of the major operating costs of Taxis and allow our industry members to achieve improved overall business profitability”, said Greg Kay, the NSW Taxi Council Head of Partnerships.

About the NSW Taxi Council
The NSW Taxi Council is the peak body for the NSW Taxi Industry. It represents Taxi networks, owners and operators, and it also advocates for better outcomes for NSW Taxi drivers. Therefore, the industry is the livelihood of over 40,000 people and their families.
The NSW Taxi Council represents members across Metropolitan Sydney, as well as Country and Regional NSW.
The NSW Taxi Industry is a major contributor to the state’s public transport system. It delivers over 130 million passenger journeys each year and meets customer travel needs right across NSW. It functions as a door through door transport service that operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The NSW Taxi Industry also provides services at times when other forms of public transport either significantly reduce service levels or cease operations altogether. Taxis are often the only form of public transport for some members of the community, and they provide essential transport services to some of the most disadvantaged people in the state. The NSW Taxi Industry was the first private transport provider to offer transport services for passengers travelling in a wheelchair. In fact, our history goes as far back as 1980 when the first Wheelchair Accessible Taxi was established.
