The new TTSS NSW Travel Docket Book launched on 1 October 2025, and while participants can use their current books during the transition period ending 30 November 2025, only new books will be issued from the launch date, and drivers have until 31 December 2025 to submit old dockets for subsidy payment, after which old dockets will no longer be accepted.

Key Updates:

1. Completing the new travel dockets

All fields must be completed before the docket is submitted. Drivers may assist participants if needed, but it is a shared responsibility to ensure all details are complete, accurate, and truthful.

Reminder for Drivers and Service Providers:

All fares where a TTSS subsidy is claimed must be calculated using a fare calculation device operated by the taxi driver. This is a regulatory requirement under the Point to Point Transport (Taxis and Hire Vehicles) Regulation 2017 – Section 81. For more details, please refer to legislation.nsw.gov.au/view/html/inforce/current/sl-2017-0424#sec.81

* Note: Incomplete dockets will be rejected and may result in non-payment. Drivers may appeal rejected dockets using the usual process.

Some fields can be corrected via the Taxi Portal, while others require an appeal with supporting evidence:

  • Fields that can be edited via the Taxi Portal include participant details, taxi details, and driver information.

  • Fields that can only be appealed include trip datetrip details (time and location), and fare. These must be supported by evidence to validate the trip such as GPS data, dispatch logs, or other trip records.

2. TTSS participants travelling together

  • If multiple TTSS participants share a taxi or maxi cab, only one subsidy can be claimed per trip.

  • If more than one passenger is an eligible M50 participant (those requiring a wheelchair accessible taxi), drivers can claim the Wheelchair Accessible Taxi Driver Incentive Subsidy (WATDIS) for each additional eligible M50 participant.

To do this, complete one docket using the details of any one of the participants, mark the relevant boxes (‘TTSS Participants Travelling Together’ and ‘WAT Incentive Claim’), and record the details of the additional eligible M50 participants on the back of the docket.

This ensures accurate processing and appropriate incentive claims.

Please note: It is your responsibility to submit completed travel dockets within 28 days of the journey date for payment processing. Dockets submitted after this period will not be accepted for payment.

Additionally, where paper docket misuse is suspected, Transport for NSW may withhold TTSS payments while the matter is investigated.

Reminder: Smartcard First

Smartcard remains the preferred method of payment. Paper travel dockets should only be used when the participant (or their carer) is travelling in a taxi that cannot accept Smartcard payments.
